Mission & Methodology

I. AIMS & OBJECTIVES

ISIC is a cultural and educational society established as a nonprofit nonpartisan organization with the aim of fostering the following objectives:

1. Provision of a forum for building awareness of Iranian culture and civilization
2. Promotion of Persian language and literature
3. Expansion of Iranian studies
4. Collaboration among academic and cultural organizations inside and outside Iran in the spirit of cultural exchange
5. Cooperation among Iranians, Americans and other nations
6. Establishment of the grounds for increased dialogue among cultures and religions
7. The study of Iranian fine arts, music and cinema

II. Means: ISIC seeks to pursue these and similar objectives through holding

1. exhibitions
2. conferences, symposia, workshops, and lectures series
3. film festivals
4. workshops and short courses on Persian culture and language
